28th Annual CIHC Conference

“OEHS-Making a Difference” will be the theme for this year’s California Industrial Hygiene Council Annual Conference, scheduled for December 10-12 at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.  Once again this year, Dr. John Howard, Director of NIOSH and former chief of Cal/OSHA will be the luncheon keynote speaker on Monday.  Also speaking on Monday will be Juliann Sum, Chief of Cal/OSHA, Barbara Materna, Chief of the Occupational Health Branch of Ca DPH and Peggy Otum from the law firm of Arnold and Porter to discuss California and Federal Legal EHS Drivers.  Other experts will be speaking on such topics as Emerging Issues including health and safety issues associated with cannabis cultivation, wildfire response and recovery, construction and legal issues and the CIH.  This is truly a not to be missed conference that is receiving national attention, as well as a wonderful networking opportunity.
